Description
What began in Florence in the 1920s as a small family-owned leather goods business quickly because the pioneering symbol of Italian craftsmanship and style throughout the world. Gucci was and is the ultimate in luxury goods for the influential and famous. The label was the epitome of high style until the late 1970's when bad business decisions and family disagreements brought the company on the verge of bankruptcy. Tom Ford and Domenico de Sole were brought in and transformed Gucci into a fashion powerhouse in the 90s, adding emphasis on sex-appeal and turning the label into the most talked about and most desired collection of the season.
