If bullying is not appropriately managed, a culture of fear and bullying can quickly become endemic in an organisation. This program looks at strategies that can be implemented to prevent and manage bullying in the workplace and investigates some of the important aspects of the development of a policy and procedures to deal with bullying. Workplace bullying not only has devastating effects on individuals who are targeted by a bully, but it can also be costly to a business in terms of diminished production, poor performance and an increase in staff turnover. Worse still, if bullying is not appropriately managed, a culture of fear and bullying can quickly become endemic in an organisation. Using dramatised scenes and interviews with a variety of industry experts, this program demonstrates some of the many forms of workplace bullying and offers a sound framework to help understand the nature, causes and effects of workplace bullying.
