Guadeloupe we learn is two islands connected by a bridge over the Riviere Salee. To the east lies Grande-Terre, known for its resort areas and the capital of Pointe-a-Pitre, and to the west lies Basse-Terre, the larger of the two islands, known for its rain forest, waterfalls, and mountains. The English island of Barbados is well known for its superb beaches; also we visit its capital city, Bridgetown.
