The use of a web-based computer examination in athletic training courses
Description
The BOC certification examination has recently changed to a computer-based format. Other allied health professions have utilized computer-based examinations both in classes and for credentialing examinations for much longer. For example, one such program, Evolve Reach, has been utilized by nursing programs across the country for several years. One of the benefits of the format of Evolve Reach is that it aids faculty in the construction of critical-thinking questions. The Use of a Web-Based Computer Examination in Athletic Training Courses features a demonstration of the Evolve Reach testing program as it might apply to the athletic training curriculum, a discussion of potential, relevant critical-thinking exam items, and an examination of item and examination validity, utilizing a mock Evolve Reach examination.
