Surviving K2
Description
In the climbing world, there are no terms of endearment for K2, only begrudging whispers born of respect and fear: 'Mountains', 'Savage Mountain', and always, 'Killer Mountain'. K2's weather, remoteness, avalanche danger, rock falls, crevasses and other nightmarish hazards combine to make it 28,267 foot summit the hardest point on earth to reach. But climbers know all this and they still come to wage battle with this demon. Journey with 12 American climbers as they attempt to conquer this treacherous beast from the Chinese north side.
