Rewire my brain
Description
Robert Jensen has a massive cancerous tumour growing deep inside his brain. His only chance of survival - an operation to cut out the tumour while Robert's fully awake. Without the surgery he'll die. In the UK, a procedure called Deep Brain Stimulation rewires the brains of patients suffering intolerable conditions. Parkinson sufferer Mike Robins literally switches off the tremors which nearly drove him to suicide. Simon Cooke has suffered brutal epileptic seizures since he was three-years-old. They have destroyed his life and made him a prisoner in his own home. Deep Brain Stimulation is his last hope to regain a life. Three years ago, Shannon Wilkes was an ordinary happy little girl. But then her brain began to tell her body to twist into painful, unnatural shapes. Locked in a body she can't control, her only hope is Deep Brain Stimulation.
