It documents the growth of Asia’s ports and other auxiliary services such as offshore industries, logistics and banking services which have all acted as stimuli for the development of industrial estates, trading and urbanization in the region. The programs focus on the contributions of key individuals in the maritime industry, individuals who played a part in Asia’s rise as a maritime hub. What supplies are needed for a trip around the world? And who are the unsung heroes manning the giants of the sea?
