Description
Ah Chen works day and night in a Chinese restaurant because his family owes £20,000 to the vicious Snakehead gang who smuggled him into Britain. Mojdan is marooned, without money or hope, in Croatia. Her husband and children drowned in a boat on their doomed trek to Europe. These people are escaping war, poverty and oppression at home, or are simply attracted by the prospect of work in Europe's thriving economies. Trafficking in human beings is fast becoming a more profitable business than drugs.
