Iraq. Whose country is it anyway?
Description
Prize fish, chandeliers, repro Louis XV chairs - the Ali Babas of Baghdad will loot anything and everything from the dictator's palaces. Goodbye Saddam, hello chaos: but the anarchy has a much darker side. Across town, a 31-year old female doctor battles to save the victim of yet another drive-by shooting. She sums up her country two months after war: 'There were no real rules before the war except money and power. Now there are no rules at all'. John Sweeney reports on the chaos, anger and sheer danger of post-war Iraq, as US attempts to gain control visibly fail and fundamentalism amongst the Shia majority rises.
