Rector versus Clinton
Description
During the campaign for the democratic nomination Bill Clinton was faced with an anguishing decision, whether or not to execute a man on death row whose self-inflicted brain injury had left him with the mind of a six year old. Clinton authorised the execution even stepping off the campaign trail to attend. The political value of the execution was clear, it proclaimed Clinton's commitment to the death penalty.
