Integrating clinical reasoning & EBP
Description
Integrating Clinical Reasoning & EBP: A Pedagogical Strategy for Enhancing Clinical Decision Making provides an overview of a decision-making process that athletic trainers can use to think their way through a diagnostic problem. Referred to as case-based reflective learning, this approach involves the effective integration of clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice that's contextually relevant to patient situations at hand, metacognitive in nature, flexible and interactive in application, and student-centered. The DVD explores the fact that this integrative process provides a consistent frame of reference that should be implemented across the program of study, including both the didactic and clinical elements of the athletic training curriculum.
