Description
This highly eclectic piece of work is a filmic documentation of the shooting of Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul's feature film, Tropical Malady (2005). The camera follows the film crew and actors through the jungle, revealing behind-the-scenes activities such as the setting up and dismantling of scenes at different locations, as well as the actors going through various 'takes.' Though seemingly fragmented, Worldly Desires is organized around scenes shot during the day, and a rather quirky musical number that was shot at night. From the Jeonju International Film Festival.
