The music of Satyajit Ray
Description
Like his films, The Music of Satyajit Ray is a multi-layered blending of Western aesthetics and Indian sensibilities that Ray has brought to his films. His own musical sense and skills are as much inherent in his family as well as the result of personal cultivation and interest. But his music did not make his movies a pretext for his musical obsession. Instead, he used music as an element in the organic structure of his films.
