Thor Hyerdahl, the man, the myth, the women

Description

A romantic escapist, a notorious egotripper, a great adventurer - Thor Heyerdahl claimed to be a scientist, but scholars never accepted him as such. He questioned academia and stirred up debate, but most of all he opened up a world of possibilities. Through his daring expeditions he captured the imagination of millions of people. And behind his imagination lay a paradise lost. 22 years old and just married, Thor Heyerdahl set off for a never-ending wedding trip to the remote island of Fatuhiva. His back-to-nature ideology stranded, like his marriage later on, but not his interest for how the Pacific was populated. His aim was to prove how mankind populated the world. By turning to the past Thor Heyerdahl searched for passages that created his own wake.
