Biomechanical and sensory strategies for improving motor control in children with neuromotor disorders
Description
This seminar presents biomechanical and sensory strategies necessary for developing functional motor control. Normal and atypical developmental strategies used by children are presented, followed by intervention strategies that are designed to organize the biomechanical and postural systems for improving motor control. Dynamic postural support systems, dynamic orthotics and biomechanical-postural connections are presented and demonstrated. Treatment demonstrations are presented.
