Description
Captain Tran Van Ngo discusses why he joined the Viet Minh. He explains that he saw people being oppressed and exploited and wanted to help liberate people. Tran Van Ngo recalls the 1946 Battle of Hanoi and described the French forces as well equipped and sizeable, however he argued that the Viet Minh had an advantage as they had morale and courage. Tran Van Ngo also talks about the battle of Dien Bien Phu, his preparations, and the conditions while on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.
