KS3/4 Science. Top of the flops. Demonstrating Chemistry
Description
"Dr Shini Somarathne presents a run-down of the Top Ten experiments that go wrong for teachers. Compiled by CLEAPSS, the school science support service, our team will show what happens when experiments don't go according to plan, as well as giving some alternative approaches to classic experiments. Guiding us through the Top Ten are three expert chemists; Dr Colin Osborne from the Royal Society of Chemistry, and Dr Kay Stephenson and Bob Worley from CLEAPSS. Under their guidance we see the problems associated with cracking hydrocarbons, white phosphorus, making chlorine gas, and making copper sulfate crystals. Our experts also give some top tips to make your science experiments a success."
