Secondary special needs. Recipe for success. 1
Description
The Deli has enabled our boys for the very first time to be in a situation where the mainstream boys want to be in their shoes as opposed to them being on the outside looking in" An orthodox Jewish school, the Menorah Grammar School in North London, has set up an innovative programme for its special needs pupils: they run the school canteen and use the experience as they work towards NVQs in catering. Looking at a day in the life of the school and following the work that occurs throughout a day this inspirational programme shows, from the perspective of the staff and the pupils, how it operates and the positive impact it has on the pupils' education.
