KS3 History. Gifted and talented. History class 3. 3
Description
One teacher, one class, one term. For 3 months we've had unique access to follow Reuben Moore - History teacher - as he teaches his year 7 class across the whole Spring term. From the big issues of planning for progression, through to developing good history questions and the nitty-gritty of delivering personalised learning, we reveal how he deals with the demands faced by the modern-day History teacher. In this, the third of four programmes from Lampton School, West London, we see Reuben's work with the most able students in the class. As he says, "You can't make resources for all pupils, all of the time", so how can you deliver personalised learning for all? Working with Lynne Mahmood, Lampton's G+T coordinator, Reuben develops the next lesson of the term and looks at ways he can personalize the learning for G+T students. We follow the lesson through the eyes of two "Gifted and Talented" students, offering a unique opportunity to see a lesson from a pupil's point of view.
