Teatro. Theater and the spirit of change
Description
In Honduras, the quintessential "banana republic", illiteracy and malnutrition are a way of life and political opposition is stifled. Yet here, a grassroots theater company led by a Jesuit priest travels the backroads to bring powerful messages of social justice to people who have never before seen a play. The film follows the theater group to remote villages where people are eager to regain control of their lives which have been torn apart by centuries of foreign intrusion.
