The gardeners of Eden. Part 1
Description
Forget the Millennium dome: the Eden project is far and away the great success story of Britain's millennium building programme. Visited by tourists from around the world, and a unique resource for botanists investigating a perfect, natural environment, it lives up to its name. In Gardening at Eden we follow a team of 60 botanists, gardeners and architects as they manage the project and the visitors that enjoy it. In Tomorrow's Eden we see the impact of the project beyond its glass walls, exploring its role as a tourist attraction as well as a centre for ecological and scientific research. The programme will take us to locations around the world to find out whether Eden can save Thailand's rainforest.
