Jamie. Exeter Deaf Academy
Description
Jamie is a deaf pupil at Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education, and is also a gifted and talented student. He tells us in his own words, in British Sign Language, how his school has listened to pupils like himself and taken on board the particular needs that gifted and talented deaf students have. From vertical learning groups for some pupils, to improving the experiences that deaf students have with partner hearing schools and even design suggestions for the school's new building, Jamie and his peers have contributed ideas to their school's provision for gifted and talented deaf students.
