Business Manager Sue Buddery employs the students, paying them the minimum wage, which saves substantial sums compared to hiring professional contractors. The site manager is on hand to give initial training and to supervise the students during the two to three week schedule. Sue also explains how a compactor which crushes waste in a skip saves the school money as less rubbish collections are required.
