Description
Humanities subjects at Key Stage 3 are often taught independently of each other, but this programme takes a look at Uplands Community College in east Sussex, where they manage to successfully incorporate history, RE and geography into a single field-trip to Lewes.Year 8 pupils investigate the castle, church and town from a historical, religious and geographical perspective and begin to understand the overlap between these subjects.The president of the Humanities Association, Steve Johnson, offers his observations on the trip.
