Challenging behaviour
Description
Discover if there is indeed a school discipline crisis and what should be done about poor behaviour. Ruth Kelly, the former education secretary has set up a working group of teachers to devise a national strategy that tackles poor behaviour in schools. In this programme teachers and headteachers talk about what they consider to be bad behaviour, how they see it increasing and the various schemes they have introduced to solve the problem. Geoff Moss, an assertive discipline trainer believes that changing social attitudes have blurred the distinction between childhood and adolescence and that teachers increasingly need to teach responsible behaviour.
