Secondary design and technology
Description
Each week, Resource Review experts recommend top resources which are put to the test, giving teachers the ability to make informed decisions regarding the most effective resources ranging from the best publications to the most applicable pieces of software. This programme focuses on secondary design & technology. Teacher Steve Watts has his pupils learning about CAD/CAM using Artcam software when they are designing 2D and 3D models before they are manufactured. The pupils in Steve Watts class are also using Camtasia Studio software to help them to learn about using Artcam.Back in the studio at London's Science Museum, presenter Hermione Cockburn discusses the use of these resources in design and technology with the Resource Review panel. The panel consists of subject specialist Jonathan Boyle, a deputy headteacher from Walsall Academy, Ray Barker, director of BESA and Alan Mills, of the Specialist Schools Trust.
