Description
At Gospel Oak School in Camden, North London, Headteacher Alan Seymour wants to cover non-contact time for his pupils with a full-time music teacher, but he hasn't got the available funds. Former teacher and business executive Fiona Eldridge is brought in to help find a solution. Looking at the school and its budget, she critiques Alan's spending habits and analyses his creativity in budgeting. Can she find the £30,000 that he needs to fund a full time music teacher?Fiona and Alan discuss the ways in which private sponsorship or volunteers can be utilised in a school and the means which schools can use to generate income to pay for extra staff, as well as methods to implement cost savings.
