Secondary behaviour

Description

The Parents Guide explores what is going on in schools today and discusses some of the key issues from a parent's point of view. In this programme we join Fiona and two parents, Shupikai Rinomhota and Janice Williams, together with education consultant Jan McKenley, to discuss behaviour in secondary schools. We look at some Teachers TV programmes and see how the issue of pupil behaviour is being addressed by teachers, and, of course, parents. What are the current strategies for dealing with unacceptable behaviour at school? How do teachers address low level disruption in the classroom? How can anger management techniques help pupils understand and control their feelings? How can parents and teachers work together? You can hear the views of parents and gain an insight into what other schools are doing, then have your say by emailing parents@teachers.tv.
