Description

July 4, 1946. Kielce, Poland. A few Jewish survivors of Nazi camps had returned to rebuild their lives. Suddenly, a rumor went through the town that Jews were killing Christian children for their blood. A crowd gathered to vent the age-old hatred. In the massacre that followed, 42 Jews were killed and more gravely wounded. This "forgotten" episode is chillingly retold by the Polish people who were there. Some express horror but others seem indifferent. A miniature Shoah in its power to move audiences.
