STEM Outreach UW Oshkosh
In September 2015 UW Oshkosh STEM Outreach adopted its new name to reflect our expanding capacity to offer opportunities that extend beyond science activities. Hands on programs in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) are being developed and incorporated into our current offerings. We serve geographic areas within 1 hour of UW-Oshkosh: CESA 6, Fox Valley, and NEW North Communities.
The STEM Outreach MISSION is to integrate the STEM efforts on campus into community and school-based programs and initiatives.
STEM Outreach is currently on hiatus. We hope to have this program up and running again soon. In the meantime, there are several opportunities being offered by other programs on campus in STEM and other fields, including:
- The Summer Oshkosh Mathematics Academy (SOMA), a four-day commuter camp in mathematics for students entering grades 6-8, will be held on campus on August 8-11, 2022.
- The Tech Titans Mobile App Academy for girls grades 6-8 on the art of computer programing is being held on Monday, June 27 – Thursday, June 30, 2022
- The Division of Online and Continuing Education offers several other Summer Youth Programs, including academies in Art, Music, Spanish, Police, Firefighting, as well as Grandparents University.
