Meet our student assistants and communications interns
Our Student Assistants and Communications Intern support our program in various ways from creating engaging social media posts, gathering data, setting up events, providing a student voice, and much more. They work on different projects throughout the year and develop their professional and leadership skills.
My name is Faith Meckler, and I am a fourth-year student at UWO. I am majoring in human resources management and getting a certificate in digital marketing. This is my 3rd year working with TRIO SSS.
Some things I like to do in my free time are hang out with friends, read, and go to concerts. I look forward to meeting new people in our program and working with all the great advisors!
I’m a Radio-TV-Film major with a minor in African American Studies along with two different certificates in Professional Communications and Human Services Leadership. After graduation, I plan to continue working towards being an on-air personality or continuing my work in the film industry. I’m excited to see how this year plays out!
Fun facts: I love building Legos, trying new foods and sitting on the couch with a tub of ice cream!
I am a 4th year student, and my major is Public Relations. I am passionate in promoting people and empowering them, for an ideal career, I would love to work with National Parks and get to explore more of the world.
I try to spend time with family as I have a bunch of nieces and nephews, otherwise, I enjoy getting coffee with friends, thrifting, and doing freelance photography for fun. I’m excited to build myself and expand my experience as a professional and as a person
Hi! My name is Maddy. I am in my third year at UW Oshkosh, and I am studying Human Services Leadership and Studio Art. I am still figuring out what I will do after graduation, but looking at substitute teaching, earning my teaching certificate, graduate school for art therapy in the future, and/or earning my Child Life Specialist Certificate.
Some fun facts about myself, I love cats, I am almost always wearing a snazzy pair of crocs, I enjoy painting in my free time, and love being outdoors in all seasons.
I am a second-year Sociology Major and am planning to join the program’s new 4+1 to earn my Master’s in Public Administration. I am also working on earning my certificates in Indigenous Studies and Social Equity & Diversity. After UWO, I plan to earn my Master’s in Social Work as well! I hope to someday become a kid’s social worker!
In my free time, I like to explore new places, hang out with my friends and draw! I look forward to meeting all the members of the program and working with everyone in the TRIO SSS offices this year!
