Become a Student Leader!
All first-year students in the TRIO SSS/SSS STEM program will be assigned a FYE (First-Year Experience) Group based on their class schedule. FYE Groups are small group sessions of first-year students who meet weekly with two upper-class students to learn about college success, academic skills, and leadership development. FYE Groups are exclusive and only for students that join the program.
Hiring for 26-27 FYE Leaders begins in Spring 2026.
The UW Oshkosh SSS/SSS STEM programs are 100% funded through TRIO grants from the U.S. Department of Education. The award numbers are P042A200162 and P042A200357 at an estimated $3.6 million for the 2020 to 2025 program years.
