About Us
We’re driven by your success
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS/SSS STEM), a federally funded TRIO program, assists students through intensive and intentional advising. SSS/SSS STEM serves first-generation college students (neither parent has a four-year college degree) and students whose families have limited income. The program exists to guide them through their entire college career.
Only 420 students are members of the SSS and SSS STEM programs, meaning students get individualized attention from an advisor from the time they enter the program until graduation. Services are free and students may qualify for SSS/SSS STEM scholarships.
UW Oshkosh has two SSS programs: the traditional SSS program serves students in all majors and SSS STEM focuses on science, technology, engineering, math and health sciences fields. SSS and SSS STEM are funded through grants from the U.S. Department of Education
