Committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality medical services to student athletesThe UW Oshkosh sports medicine team provides top-tier care for all Titan student athletes. The primary care team is comprised of a general physician who serves as UWO’s Medical Director, an orthopedic physician and six state-licensed athletic trainers.
Our team works closely with a variety of health care providers in the Fox Valley, Green Bay and on campus, which provide physical exams, orthopedic care, general medical care, nutritional and dietary counseling, mental health education, women’s health education, diagnostic testing and specialty therapy. The staff is responsible for the health care and safety of more than 650 athletes participating in 20 NCAA Division III sports.
Our on-site medical services include:
- Prevention, evaluation and treatment of injuries and illnesses
- Rehabilitation services
- Pre-participation exams
- Functional testing
- Concussion evaluation/treatment
- Nutritional counseling
- Psychological counseling
- Drug education and counseling
- Referral to other healthcare providers
