UW–Milwaukee’s School of Education offers a Guest Student Teaching | Internship (GSTI) program to facilitate successful student teaching placements and experiences in Milwaukee area schools for teacher candidates from other institutes of higher education (IHE). The teacher candidate is a student of and earns teaching certification from their home IHE while UW–Milwaukee facilitates a successful urban placement and provides support during that placement.  The semester as a guest student teacher will be a rewarding one, filled with experiences to prepare you for effective urban teaching.
