This regionally based and globally connected degree offers coursework on campus, off campus and online. It focuses on building a solid department tradition at both the bachelor’s and master’s degree levels of excellence in PK-12 education and administrator preparation.
The degree features:

- Coursework targeting and supporting the development in the leadership for student academic growth and achievement
Admission Requirements
- Valid Wisconsin teaching license
- Master’s degree in an education field
- Wisconsin Administrative Licensure for PK-12 Principal (51)
- Minimum of 3 years successful experience as an administrator
- Successful completion of a background check
Courses
The 48-credit degree is designed to be completed in three years. Students will be enrolled in five- to eight-credit semesters in fall, spring, and summer sessions. Program coursework falls into four categories:
- Foundational coursework in the study of education leadership (12 credits)
- Coursework emphasizing leadership skills in administrative positions (18 credits)
- Seminar/field experience (6 credits)
- Context related to researching and writing skills culminating in a dissertation (12 credits)
