Criminal Background Check

A criminal background check is mandated for any School of Education and Human Services student. This counts for admission to the undergraduate and graduate programs, and internships.  The School of Education and Human Services requires your CBC to be current your entire undergraduate or graduate career (admission through completion).  You will complete a CBC at Admission to the Teacher Education Program and prior to student teaching.  For each internship, you will complete a Criminal Background Acknowledgement form in ELC.  If there have been changes since admission, as part of the CBC Acknowledgement, you will be required to notify your program and complete a new CBC.
