News to Celebrate!

SOEHS Recognized for Successful DPI 6 Year Continuous Visit

The School of Education and Human Services recently received our approval letter from the Department of Instruction for the Year 6 continuous review visit.  Congratulations to the many faculty and staff who contribute their time and talents to ensure we are aligning with Wisconsin regulations and DPI standards. Successful visits are the direct result of your efforts. 

Scott Prinster, our DPI liaison, offered his congratulations on documenting our program’s outstanding work in compliance with Wisconsin regulations.  “As always, I’m grateful and proud for the quality educator preparation that is happening at UW-Oshkosh, and I appreciate the dedication of your team to your students and our professions,” said Prinster.  

Dr. Kyle Steele Selected as 2025 Edward Penson Faculty Award Recipient 

Dr. Kyle Steele has been selected by a committee of the Provost and the Deans as a recipient of the 2025 Edward Penson Faculty Award. The Edward M. Penson Faculty Award recognizes faculty members who have made a significant contribution to their colleges and the University. Steele will be receiving the award during the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh convocation.  

The friends of Dr. Edward M. Penson created a perpetual endowment fund to recognize and celebrate his accomplishments as Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh from 1978-1989. It is the intent of this endowment to assist in addressing the challenges that the University faces in the recruitment and retention of highly qualified full-time faculty, the nucleus of any university of distinction. Please congratulate Kyle on this important accomplishment.

Shared Drive Folders Moving to SharePoint July 21-25 

The shared drive folders previously located on the S drive will be relocating to SharePoint.

This transition will take place during the week of July 21-25. Please plan accordingly if you need to download information to use during this week.

After the transition, please contact Claire Armstrong (armstroc@uwosh.edu) to request access to specific folders.
