Radio TV Film

If you are interested in becoming a Radio TV Film major or minor, but don’t know if this is the right path for you, please contact us at rtf@uwosh.edu. We can set up a meeting with a faculty member and a tour of the facilities to help you decide.  

Once you have decided on Radio TV Film as a major or minor, you will need to contact UARC to declare your decision by calling (920) 424-1268 or stopping by the Student Success Center – Suite 202, and a PAL will assist you.

RTF majors are required to complete a minor OR two certificates in other areas of study. Alternatively, students may complete a second major. Students completing a BA need to complete four semesters of a foreign language or a complete four semester equivalency (so if you take the placement exam and test into second semester Spanish, you get credit for first semester Spanish and then need to take three more semesters of Spanish). BA students need to complete two lab science courses.  

Students completing a BS don’t have a foreign language requirement, but they have to complete four lab science courses (including two as part of USP) and a second math class. Use this list for more information on Lab Science pairings.  Be sure to talk to your advisor to make sure the science courses your choose will meet the university requirements.
