Psi Chi
Membership in Psi Chi serves as recognition for outstanding academic achievement. Psi Chi is further intended to foster academic, personal, and professional growth. To that end, membership in Psi Chi involves more than a “line on a resume”, with active participation in Psi Chi including some or all of the following activities (depending on the semester): volunteer work (e.g., Hands on Oshkosh), charitable fundraising (e.g., Polar Plunge to raise money for the Wisconsin Special Olympics), club fundraising, collaborative research, activities to raise awareness on campus about psychological issues, social events with faculty members, and cooperative events with other branches of Psi Chi and Psychology Club.
More general information about Psi Chi can be found on their website.

Students who are interested in applying need to meet the above listed criteria and complete the following steps:
- Save a PDF copy of your current Advisement Report
- Complete the “Psi Chi Application Cover Sheet“
Fall 2024 Deadline: Friday, Sept. 20th @ 5:00PM
These materials (1 & 2 above) should be emailed to the Psi Chi Advisor – Dr. Chrobak (chrobakq@uwosh.edu) no later than 5:00 PM on 9/20/2024.
Application Review and Induction
Applications will be reviewed immediately after the announced deadline. Students who are eligible will be notified as quickly as possible.
If you are selected for lifelong membership in Psi Chi, admission will require payment of $85 for national and local fees. This should be made as a check payable to “UW Oshkosh Psi Chi.” At that point, Dr. Chrobak will make arrangements with you to collect the fees.
Students who complete these steps will be officially inducted in April. However, you are strongly encouraged to attend meetings as soon as your application has been accepted (students will be added to the email distribution list upon acceptance).
Any questions regarding the application process, or Psi Chi in general, should be directed to one of our advisors: Dr. Chrobak (chrobakq@uwosh.edu) or Dr. Nelson (nelsonam@uwosh.edu). Or you can check out our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Psi-Chi-UW-Oshkosh-Chapter/143407395730207
