Waitlist Instructions

When a course is full: students should use the TitanWeb wait-list feature to join the queue for a seat. A yellow triangle in the class “Status” column indicates that a waitlist is available.

How to Join a Waitlist:

  1. Log into TitanWeb.
  2. Go to the “Academics” tab and click “Search”.
  3. Select the appropriate term.
  4. Enter the subject and course number, uncheck “Show Open Only”, and click “Search”.
  5. Look for a yellow triangle in the “Status” column.
  6. Select the course, check the “Wait list if class is full” box, and click “Next”.
  7. In your shopping cart, select the wait-listed class and click “Enroll”.
  8. Click “Finish Enrolling” to confirm your wait-list status.

Waitlist Management:

  • The School Department Assistants are responsible for monitoring closed classes with active waitlists.
  • When a seat becomes available, the School Department Assistant will notify the next student in line via their UWO email with enrollment instructions.
  • Students have 24 hours from the time the email is sent (unless otherwise specified) to enroll.
  • If a student does not enroll within the time frame, they will be removed from the waitlist.
  • Students removed from the waitlist may rejoin but will be placed at the end of the list.

Additional Notes:

  • All course prerequisites must be met to join a waitlist.
  • The class section must be full before the waitlist is activated.
  • Instructors cannot enroll students directly.
  • Not all courses have wait-lists. If no waitlist is available, consider enrolling in an alternate course as a backup.
