Scholarships


 

Political Science Emerging Scholar

This scholarship was created to support political science majors at UW Oshkosh. Applicant must have a declared political science major with at least 9 credits in political science completed. Applicant must be enrolled in at least 9 credits, have a minimum 3.0 grade-point average and have sophomore or junior standing. Students graduating in the current academic year are not eligible to apply. Applicants must complete their application through Academic Works and also upload a writing sample from a political science course taken. The deadline for application is in early December of each year. Dr. Charlie Goff Scholarship

Dr. Goff was a Sturgeon Bay native and World War II veteran who received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University and taught in Political Science at UW Oshkosh for over thirty years. This scholarship was endowed to his memory by his sister, to defray costs for students who have an interest in education and the advanced study of Political Science. The award of $1000 will go to someone with junior or senior standing. Preference will be given to those interested in pursuing education or Political Science as a career. The deadline for application is in early December of each year.
