The UW-Oshkosh Police Department recently responded to a report of items stolen from a vehicle in Lot #30. During follow-up, it was discovered that several additional vehicles in the lot had also been entered. At this time, these incidents appear to involve vehicles that were left unlocked.
As we move into warmer weather, it’s natural to see more activity across campus during evening hours. We encourage everyone to check that your vehicle is locked, stay aware of your surroundings, and report any suspicious activity.
Simple steps can make a big difference:
- Always lock your vehicle, even if you are only away for a short time
- Remove valuables or keep them out of sight
- Report suspicious behavior promptly
