The temporary asphalt crosswalk that pedestrians have been using to cross Algoma Boulevard between Dempsey Hall and Clow Hall will be removed this week, so the permanent pavement and the steps leading up to Dempsey can be installed. During this work, please plan to use alternative routes. There are several accessible routes available near this area where the work has been completed. After this, only the crosswalks at Woodland Avenue within our campus boundary are left to be paved. The construction will continue from Woodland Avenue to Congress Avenue. Pedestrian crossing beacons will follow soon.
The permanent paving for the crosswalks at Reeve Union, Albee Hall and Nursing Ed are complete. Paving work also is expected to soon be complete in the Congress, Woodland and Vine avenues.
To accommodate detoured traffic, High Avenue continues to temporarily accommodate two-way traffic.
Detours continue for GO Transit bus routes No. 5 and No. 10. Find details in the GO Transit app or on Go Transit’s Facebook page.
