This week, the closure of Algoma Boulevard was extended an additional block and now runs from Wisconsin Street to Congress Avenue. High Avenue will continue to accommodate two-way traffic between W. New York Avenue and Osceola Street. This phase of the project is expected to continue into November.
While the intersection of W. New York Avenue and Algoma Boulevard is not within the Oshkosh campus boundaries, faculty, staff and students should be aware that water main work in the area is expected to greatly restrict traffic over the next two to three weeks. Alternate routes are highly recommended for travelers during this time.
At the Woodland Avenue and Algoma intersection, repairs are underway to the campus steam tunnel. This work will continue through mid-August, impacting parking Lot 4A. If you need assistance on where to park during this time please contact Parking Services by calling: 920-424-4455 or by emailing: parking@uwosh.edu.
Concrete paving will begin the first week of August. For the paving to cure, vehicles will be restricted for a minimum of three weeks once poured. Pedestrians will be restricted for a minimum of 48 hours.
Detours continue for GO Transit bus routes No. 5 and No. 10. Find details in the GO Transit app or on Go Transit’s Facebook page.
