On Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 at 3:20 a.m. Oshkosh Police department handled an assault complaint that had taken place near West Lincoln Avenue and Wisconsin Street (some reports included information from W. Irving Ave and Wisconsin Street). Oshkosh Police became aware of the victim the next day as he sought medical attention. This area of the assault is a few blocks northeast of the UW Oshkosh campus.
Details
Two males were walking in this area when they were confronted with derogatory language by two other males on a nearby porch. Further verbal confrontation continued and the males were assaulted by multiple people. The assault required one victim (UW Oshkosh student) to seek medical attention.
Suspects
All suspects in the incident were white males. One white male had removed his shirt while standing on a porch and the other white male had a black baseball cap worn backwards on his head. There were no descriptions of the other white males that were on the scene or how many there were. The two suspects came from the porch of a nearby home and the other males came from an unknown location across the street.
