Society of Physics Students (SPS)

The Society of Physics Students (SPS) sponsors physics-related field trips, outreach events, conferences, and special speakers. You do not need to be a physics major to attend SPS meetings. The group is open to all!

SPS meetings are determined on a semester-by-semester basis to mitigate scheduling conflicts. To be added to the SPS email list, contact Dr. Bart Pritzl (SPS Faculty Advisor). For more information about SPS, please visit the UW-Oshkosh SPS Facebook page*.

Past SPS activities have included: Competing in the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) collegiate rocketry competition, the construction of a potato cannon, a field trip to Fermilab in Chicago, and a ping-pong tournament with Chemistry and Biology clubs. Below are a couple of pictures from our Chicago trip. More photos can be found on our Facebook page.
