OSG Elections:
President/Vice President Candidates: Academic Year 2026 – 2027
Why are you running for OSG President and Vice President?
We want to make a positive difference in the lives of every student on campus. We will work to enact sustainable, effective, and reformative practices that are both achievable, and popular. We both believe in the mission, and advancement of the vision statement of OSG. With implementation of our ideas, through perseverance and grit, we promise to bring results and cohesiveness to our campus.
What do you believe are the major issues affecting students?
Going forward, OSG must foster growth and accountability for sponsored Student Organizations leaders, and advisors. Secondly, students have a lack of access to basic necessities such as food, reliable shelter, safe and reliable transportation, and their college materials. We are committed to continue the previous administration’s hard work towards bridging these basic needs to the whole student. Thirdly, there is a lack of cohesiveness among facets of the campus community, as representatives we must show up and hear each Titan’s story.
What would you like to see changed at UW Oshkosh?
Firstly, student body awareness about the processes of OSG and University Shared Governance. We want a better student experience by heightening student involvement and ensuring stronger and everlasting connection within the campus communities. Secondly, this community must collectively shift a greater focus on Student Basic Needs. Whether it is on campus Food Pantry, Clash Collective Thrift Store, Career Closet, UWO Go, and the Student Health and Counseling Center. With the promotion and sponsorship of these necessities, we hope to advance the university’s goal of being “one step ahead.”
Why are you running for OSG President and Vice President?
We are running for OSG President and Vice President to improve transparency regarding financial aid and to support our student organizations.
What do you believe are the major issues affecting students?
Transparency and communication about the university’s resources, like mental health services and the career center for job preparation. Parking and parking clarity, is also a problem we would like to tackle.
What would you like to see changed at UW-Oshkosh?
We want to see clearer communication and transparency between student government and the student body at UWO. Students deserve to know how decisions are made and how their funds are being used. We also want to work towards improving parking availability and policies so that students, especially commuters, can access campus more reliably.
Senate Candidates
Anna Kvitek
What would you like to accomplish as an individual and as a group if appointed?
As an individual, I would like to bring all the communities on campus together, in a sense, especially for those who are alone so that everyone can have the same or similar experiences and opportunities. As a group, I would more so like to focus on the veterans on campus and the dependents or military – connected individuals. I would like to focus on this group to ensure them that there is a community here that can and will understand them.
Why are you running for OSG Senate?
I am running for OSG Senate because I currently serve as an At-Large Senator and have truly enjoyed collaborating with my fellow OSG Senators. Through this role. I’ve gained valuable experience representing student voices and working as part of a team to create meaningful change. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving and helping make UWO the best it can be for all students.
