Continuing Education Request:

Amy has secured a contract with Door County to facilitate a two-part Diversity and Inclusion training for county employees. Although there will be paraprofessionals and other county employees who do not need CEU verification, she would like the additional level of department approval of this training for licensed social workers and others who may need to evidence attendance/certification of hours as part of their state license/certification renewals.

Suggested Wording for By-Laws:

During the time between the referral/request for a continuation committee and the completion of the work of the continuation committee, the chair person, in consultation with the department of the whole, may decide to temporarily postpone the student’s involvement in any specific activity or all the activities related to the social work program, including, but not limited to internships, and any specific course.
