Telehealth Information Hub
At UW-Oshkosh, we are dedicated to transforming healthcare through innovation, education and accessibility. Our Telehealth Information Hub aims to enhance the skills of current and future nurses, equipping them with the tools necessary to deliver care remotely.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth allows healthcare providers to provide remote care, eliminating the need for an in-person visit. By using online platforms, patients can connect with their healthcare team through computers, tablets or smartphones, making healthcare more accessible and convenient.
As telehealth continues to grow in popularity, it is becoming a mainstream option for patients who may have limited access to healthcare services—especially in rural areas. This shift is changing how we think about patient care and offering new opportunities to reach underserved populations.
A Partnership for Rural Health
Our Telehealth Information Hub is designed to create a sustainable, shareable telehealth education infrastructure. Through a collaboration with ThedaCare—one of the leading providers of rural health services in northeastern Wisconsin—we are connecting healthcare professionals with critical resources to better serve rural communities.
